The Team

FlyFive's aviation advisory team is led by David McRobert, an aviation  professional with considerable industry experience.

David has either led or held senior positions in a variety of significant aviation services businesses including PremiAir, Proponent (previously Kapco Global), Oxford Aviation Training (now CAE Oxford), and BBA Group PLC / H+S Aviation, CTC McAlpine (now L3Harris),  Honeywell (UK), Oxford Airport and The London Heliport.

He has significant experience in Business & Private Aviation (fixed wing and helicopter operations), MRO (airframes, powerplant and component) and Aviation Services (global parts supply chain, commercial pilot training, airport management) and brings 25 years of strategic ‘know-how’, having successfully built differentiation and competitive advantage to deliver organic and inorganic growth in numerous tough global market sectors.

Over the last few years David has continued to build his experience base through increasing involvement in the fast emerging and exciting future world of Urban Air Mobility and electric aviation as well as the aviation's biggest challenge to date.... global warming and sustainability.

David is a Chartered Aeronautical Engineer with a first class honours degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics. He grew up with aviation in his blood, gaining his private pilots licence aged 17. He has an extensive global aviation network, including a wide range of highly experienced associates that support FlyFive with various specialist requirements as and when required.

When he's not immersed in aviation related business, David can be found supporting family life, keeping fit, standing in rivers fly fishing, and also enjoying motorcycles, classic and vintage cars.
